  2. Belfast Summer Nights hosts The Hips and The Willy Kelly Band  5:30-7:30 p.m., downtown Belfast, more info.
  3. Award Winning Anti-Fracking Singer Songwriter Marc Black at Belfast Free Library at 8 p.m., Belfast Library, more info.
  4. Camden Library Summer Concert Series hosts Midcoast Brass Quintet, 7 p.m. at Camden Ampitheatre.
  5. Celtic Band Jam on Thursdays at Bell the Cat in Belfast.

  7. Karaoke at Cuzzys! Starts around 9 p.m. and is their most popular night.
  8. Open Mic at Highlands in Thomaston from 6:30-9:30 p.m. (Sign up at 6 p.m.) Get there early to sign up and to get seats. There is lots of talent at this popular open mic!

  11. Midcoast Music Fest at the Round Top Farm Darrows Barn in Damariscotta  is bringing us the Maine alternative country rockers The Mallett Brothers Band. Expect delicious Maine food, oysters, wine & beer (thanks to our fave Damariscotta restaurants), the best darn folk rock music around, and the sweetest little venue. Get your tickets ASAP, it always sells out. I got mine! Tickets are $15 in advance. Can’t wait!

Friday, July 25

  1. A new pole dancing studio on Main St. in Rockland just opened up. It’s called “Studio V”! Vicki says anyone is welcome to pop in any Friday night around 5:30-6 p.m. for a DEMO and a short free class so girls can get a feel for the moves and realize how fun and doable it can be.
  2. Camden Shakespeare Festival performance As You Like It, 6 p.m. (and 5 p.m. Sun., July 27) at Camden Amphitheatre. More info. $20 General Admission $20, get tickets in advance here.
  3. Comedian Justin McKinney, Camden Town Opera House, more info, 8 p.m., $18.

  5. Belfast Final Fridays Art Walk – July 25! Best way to explore Belfast galleries, meet the artists, gallery owners, fellow art fans. There are all kinds of neat art styles and forms to discover. Refreshments available in most galleries. 5:30 – 8 p.m. Free. Pop into any gallery downtown and pick up a map of participating galleries, or click here. There will also be music/performances in town and arts & crafts for kids of all ages. Come early so you can squeeze as much in before you run out of time!

  10. Female fronted indie pop-rock band The Box Tiger Band will be rockin’ the FOG Bar & Cafe. Music starts at 9 p.m. $10 cover. I dig this band.  More info. Give them a listen. The vocals and their sound remind me of Karen O. These guys are like Yeah Yeah Yeahs meets Rilo Kiley meets Lana del Ray. Come check them out!fog box  tiger band

  5. Highlands Coffee House hosts  Blind Albert & Friends blues jam, 7-10 p.m.

  10. Portland’s 90’s cover band, Hello Newman, is going to rock the Myrtle Street Tavern!! Get ready to dance to all your favorite 90’s songs! Classic Sublime, Weezer, Blink 182, and all kinds of one hit wonders to bring you back to the 90’s. Get ready to say “I love this song!” all night! Music starts around 9 p.m., 21+, $3 cover.   11. If you’ve got the blues because you’ve been missing the blues since bluesfest has come and gone, you’re in luck because V is back in Rockland already! They’re playing at The Speakeasy starting at 9 p.m., 21+, cover fee is waived if you dine at The Speakeasy or Chowderhouse.


Sunday, July 27

  1. Juke Rockets Blues Band will be bringin their swingin’ blues music to The Pearl restaurant from 1-4 p.m. Enjoy food, music and dancing on the deck, oh and $3 bloody marys and mimosas. It’ll be ri-DECK-ulous! More info.
  2. The FOG Bar and Café has Drink and Draw starting at 7 p.m.  They supply art materials and there is a different theme each week. You also get to enjoy happy hour all night during the event. $2 off all drafts. Also food specials on bar menu and $6 select cocktails like a Blackberry Cosmo (delish!)
