How to Get Rowdy in Rockland this Week

Whoa, buddy. What happened? All of a sudden it’s summer time. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited. It’s awesome. I dig flip flop weather and, good God, do I love outdoor drinking & dining. (Check out my list of the best spots to enjoy drinks outside this summer here). But this June is slightly terrifying for me. I’m going to be leaving the age 18-24 demographic and I am not prepared for it. So, forgive me if my march towards the end of May is slightly sullen. But hey, here’s to getting closer to retirement. I’ll drink to that.

Here’s what’s on the docket this week as we aim for the end of May. Top picks: Will Mallett at The Speakeasy (best darn solo folk music performance you’ll see ’round here, and he’s cute to boot), Robby Simpson sounds like it will be a good time as well, and then cover band No Guts No Glory will be a fun time if anyone is looking to get their dance on. Enjoy!

The first meeting is 7 – 8:30 pm, May 28, at Sweetland  Center, 4 Church St. Hope Maine (opposite Hope General Store). email linklind25@gmail.com Peter Lindquist 2074461751. Suggested donation is $10 to cover food & space rental. All are welcome. Again, it’s not a sales thing, it’s not a lecture,  just a group to discuss a topic that isn’t talked about all that much over tea and snacks. DeathCafeTREE
