It was my birthday so I was slackin’ off – sorry, I didn’t get the listings up sooner, but better late than never! Here’s what we’ve got happening this week.
It’s the 52nd Windjammer Days Festival in Boothbay June 22-28, 2014.
Rusty Hinges play folk at The Narrows in Waldoboro starting at 7pm. Friendly cozy vibe & yummy food.

Building Strong Communities features awards for locals, community and organization table displays, and pecha-kucha-Ted-Talk-like presentations. 5:30 -9 p.m. You’ll need to register in advance $40/$25 under age 21. FMI: FriendsMidcoast.org.
Check out the Nina & Pinta, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Weds., June 25-Mon., June 30. The boats will be at Camden Public Landing for visitors to go aboard for self-guided tours of the replicas of Columbus’s 15th-century ships. $8/$7 seniors/$6 kids 5-16/under 5 free. FMI: http://www.TheNina.com.

Gunther Brown is a four piece band from Portland playing Americana @ Mcseagulls, Boothbay for Windjammer Days. I actually really, really dig their sound. If I knew any cute boys, I’d want them to take me to see this band. But alas, I’ll probably at the movie theatre watching the newest rom com flick with a girl friend. Siiigh. Music starts at 9 p.m.

Eric Green playin’ duo-stlyle with Jack Tukey Thursday (4-7 p.m.) for a Schooner Landing Restaurant and Marina pier party in Damariscotta
Alex & Shayna play fun, light, pop covers at The Landings Restaurant this Thursday. Perfect for summer time. Music 6pm to closing.
Musician Bob “Croce” White plays music at Savory Maine in Damariscotta 6-8pm.
Belfast Summer Nights hosts a parade with a costume contest (dress summery). Parades starts at High & Main at 5:30 p.m. The Ace Tones & the Rugged play the music. All are welcome. Free.
Karaoke at Cuzzys! Starts around 9 p.m.!
Thursday: Rockland Farmers’ Market 9-12:30
Open Mic at Highlands in Thomaston from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Get there early to sign up and to get seats. There is lots of talent at this popular open mic!
From 5-7 p.m. The Speakeasy has the music of Nile Recchia outside on the Patio followed by Will Mallett of The Mallett Brothers Band from 7-9 p.m. (also outside). Yay!

Patio Set With Colin Nelson at the Whitehall Inn in Camden. Colin does great folky songs with soul. I loved when he did a cool cover of that hipster song, I can’t remember the name of it. Anywho, he’s good. Give him a listen here. Music starts at 5 p.m.
Rock City Coffee will have a Traditional Irish Music Session with live music from 7-9 p.m. No cover.
The Thirsty Whaler play at Sail, Power & Steam Museum at 7:30 p.m. Cost $12
The Kennebunk River Band plays outside on The Patio at The Speakeasy from 5-7 p.m. Then at 9 p.m. The 220’s will be playing downstairs in The Speakeasy. If you dine at the Speakeasy there is no cover.
Live Music by Michael Reny at Narrows Tavern in Waldoboro. He’ll play easy listening, sounds pretty good. This would be a great chill night. Music starts at 8 p.m. No cover.

Mallett Brothers Band play the Opera House in Boothbay Harbor. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. Get your gosh darn tickets already. These guys were named best band in Maine at the New England Music Awards and Best Album for “Land” which I own two copies of and yes it’s autographed. Hah. They play some amazing heartfelt country/rock. It’s truly music that everyone can dig. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 on day of show.
Our Town Belfast Auction & Gala
at the Boathouse in Belfast will feature a Silent Auction and Gala at 6:30, live auction at 7:30 and music by Clayton Clemetson. Preview auction items here: www.ourtownbelfast.org

Jason Dean of Quantum plays electronic music at Zoot Coffee house in Camden at 2 p.m. Admission is free.
A contradance in the Thomaston Academy gymnasium on Saturday, June 28, from 8 to 11 p.m. will feature music by The Old Grey Goose.

Danielle Pease plays Rock City Cafe. You go girl! Check out her tunes, and grab coffee, dessert, beer or wine at Rock City. Free to listen, tips for musicians encouraged. Music is 7-9 p.m.
